How is pricing calculated?
FarmTrack uses LSU-based pricing (Livestock Units). Basic is R1,800/year + R0.75 per LSU; Advanced is R3,000/year + R10 per LSU. Pay monthly and you cover a 20% month-to-month premium. A typical 200-LSU cattle farm pays around R200/mo on Basic or R500/mo on Advanced.

LSU is a standard way of measuring grazing load. One adult cow = 1 LSU, one ewe = 0.15 LSU, one kudu = 0.4 LSU. Mixed farms are handled automatically inside the app — the species calculator in your subscription settings does the conversion.
What is the difference between Basic, Advanced, and Consulting?
Basic is self-serve: upload your own spreadsheet, follow the setup guides, go live the same day. Advanced adds the AI onboarding wizard, breeding module, veld-score, tax exports, and priority support. Consulting adds a dedicated onboarding specialist and monthly strategy sessions, with a 12-month minimum.
Why a 20% premium for monthly billing?
Annual billing covers our hosting, support, and development costs upfront. Monthly billing gives you flexibility to cancel any time, so we price in the extra admin and churn risk. If you prefer annual billing, contact us for the straight annual rate.
Can I cancel?
Yes — Basic and Advanced are month-to-month with no lock-in. Consulting has a 12-month minimum because of the setup investment. Cancel any time after that.
What if I need changes after going live?
Ongoing improvements and configuration changes are included in your Advanced or Consulting subscription. Your farm evolves — your dashboard should too.
